2026 Digital Trust Workforce Development Program: Houston & Channelview
The Houston & Channelview Digital Trust Workforce Development Program is designed to help participants build a strong foundation in two of today’s most important technology domains: IT Audit/IT Risk, and Artificial Intelligence through a structured, industry-aligned training program designed to open doors to in-demand technology. Running from July 2026 through February 2027, this program combines industry-aligned learning with coaching support to help participants strengthen both technical knowledge and professional readiness.
What Participants Will Gain
Participants in the Houston/Channelview cohort will benefit from a learning experience designed to support both knowledge-building and career readiness.
IT Audit
Build foundational knowledge of audit concepts, how to use controls effectively to objectively conduct an audit, and the practical application of audit principles.
IT Risk
Build foundational knowledge of the principles of IT risk management, the responsibilities and accountability for IT risk, how to build risk awareness and how to communicate risk.
AI Fundamentals
Develop a practical understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, uses, and ethical considerations, with exposure to the ways AI is shaping today’s digital economy.
Cyber Ready Professional Coaching
Receive coaching and support designed to strengthen professional skills, career confidence, workplace readiness, and the ability to pursue opportunities in today’s technology workforce.

Program Logistics
- Location: Classes will be held in person at the ENTER LOCATION
- Time: 9:30am - 1pm
- Program will start in July 2026
- Students will be asked to participate in online assessments and career coaching prior to the start of the program. This service is provided through the Cyber Ready Professionals program

Participants begin by selecting a career track—IT Audit or IT Risk—then complete AI Fundamentals, tailored to their chosen pathway with real-world examples and applied learning.

After completing the track-specific course, learners take AI Fundamentals, where artificial intelligence concepts are taught through audit- and risk-focused use cases. This sequence ensures learners understand why AI matters and how it is used in real organizational settings.

What certificates will be offered?
Participants will have access to IT Risk/Audit Fundamentals and AI Fundamentals as the foundational certificates offered through the program.
How much does this program cost?
The program is fully covered through a grant fund. Limited funds are available to support students that don't have access to their own website. Students who pass the exams may qualify for a continuing education stipend of upto $200.00.
Will participants receive career support?
Yes. Participants will also have access to the Cyber Ready Professional coaching program to support professional growth and workforce readiness.

We will select 25 Houston & Channelview area applicants to receive weekly in-person classes facilitated by ISACA certified industry experts, job readiness workshops, certification exam prep, stipend for select participants who complete the program, and access to ISACA resources and training.
Application Criteria:
- To apply, you first need a free ISACA account.
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have an interest in a career in IT Audit or IT Risk
- Reside within commuting distance of Houston & Channelview
- Submit a completed application
- Have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection
